The Fleetdynamics portal uses several different mechanisms to indicate data to the end user, and one of these is label and icon colors. By understanding what these indicators mean you can ensure you are getting a true representation of what your fleet is doing.
Live Tracking
On the live tracking screen there is 2 areas to consider for vehicle activities.
The recent movement window on the left hand side of the live tracking map indicates the recent movements of your fleet. This screen allows you to identify what vehicles are currently driving, have recently moved, and who have not moved recently;
- BLUE CAR: Vehicle currently moving/ignition on
- RED CROSS: Vehicle moved recently, but not moving/ignition off
Any vehicles that are not appearing in this list have not moved for the past 2 hours.
The live map uses different color labels to identify the vehicles status, being ignition on, ignition off and vehicle lost network connectivity.
- WHITE: Vehicle ignition off
- ORANGE: Vehicle ignition on, stationary
- GREEN: Vehicle ignition on, moving
- BLUE: Vehicle lost mobile connectivity (possibly outside mobile coverage)
If your vehicle sits stationary for longer than 10 minutes, it will also indicate how long it has been stationary for in the Info bubble, this will be displayed such as **137 minutes since last communication from device**.This is nothing to worry about as the device ceases to communicate while not in motion. This does not mean your device is broken/offline/not working
Historic Mapping
Within the Historic Maps screen the system uses color icons/dots to indicate different driver behaviors, this allows the operator to identify incorrect driver behavior at a glance.
- LIGHT BLUE: Regular data point
- RED: Vehicle exceeding speed limit
- YELLOW: RPM over threshold
- DARK GREEN: Vehicle excess acceleration
- LIGHT GREEN: Vehicle excess deceleration
